This year for Halloween we had our 2nd annual Trick or Treat party at our house! We invite our friends and family over to go trick or treating with us! This year we had a total of 14 little kids at our peak point that were here to trick or treat with us. It was quite the group when the people opened their doors! They were shocked to see so many cute faces! We love to do this and hope to be able to carry it out for more years to come! Niah and Brityn! Brityn was a "bunny foo foo" and Niah was a butterfly! Niah is our child that your can't tell her what to wear and she doesn't decide until the last minute of what she wants to be, so we didn't buy her any type of costume! She just put this together all by herself! She did a great job using things out of her drawers and dress up clothes!
This is a portion of some of the kids that were at the house! I didn't get a chance to get a picture of everyone!
These are our pumpkins! We decorated one side with silly faces and carved the other side. There's Niah's, Brityn's and Kenzie's! On Brityn's we traced her hands and wrote Boo in it, that was her own idea! Pretty good one!
Kenzie started 2nd Grade this year in Shepherd Elementary. We are excited because this is the school that her daddy went to and most of the school knows him well. She has moved with her mom to a closer school, so we are super excited and now have the chance to pick her up and drop her off at school sometimes. This was her first day of school ands he looks so pretty!
We had a family picnic to say "goodbye" to our Army Trooper Brandon. He is my cousin's husband and he'll spend the next year in Iraq. This is most of the guys in the Joe and Gary Mayes' families.
Niah loves to sing to us! She makes up the cutest songs!
Brityn loves to feed her baby while she eats her own dinner! She is just practicing for the "real thing!"
The "real thing" is Aayden. She totally over mothers him!
One of my best buddies children. These 2 girls are only 10 hours apart in age.
We got all the kids together this summer, not an easy feat, they live in WA. so we don't see them all the time, so any time we can get them together is a great time. I can only hope that our children will grow to love each other as much as their moms have grown to love one another!
George jumping off the rope swing in Coeur D'Alene!
Kenzie and I relaxing in the water.
Fun night out for us at an IAFF Convention - the wives!
All tuckered out after a long afternoon playing in the river and the mud.
The girls loved playing with sparklers and watching the fireworks.
Niah and Riley
Kenzie and Carmen- best buds
Kenzie is getting so big, can't believe she'll be in 2nd grade
Niah loves to ride her bike with training wheels this summer. She rides while I push Brityn in the stroller.
My Little Brityn loves to wear her snow boots in the summer. She's even been known to wear her winter beanie with her boots and shorts and a tank top. Too Cute!
My Niah Piah turned 4 in May! She is getting so big, I had to take this picture of her taking care of her baby, she looks so grown up and pretty! For Niah's Birthday we had a tea party! The girls were instructed to wear the dress of their choice and come over ready to have a tea party! We had tea, cookie cutter sandwiches, watermelon balls and cheese! I had never thrown or been to a tea party so it was all an experiment! The tea set was graciously lent to me by my co-worker, former Miss Montana, who recieved this beautiful silver tea set for winning. It was so perfect and pretty for the party! Our guests are shown below! once the tea party part was done, we decorated cup cakes to take home to our daddy's! They had lots of fun putting frosting and lots of candy atop the cupcakes. I heard one guest say, " this is the best tea party I've ever been to!" I'm sure she's been to quite a few!
We are a family of 5, with 3 little girls. We love to play and spend time with each other. Life is great with kids and we enjoy the excitement they bring to our life. So far we have quite the mix of personalities and we love the excitement that each girl brings.
